We received some very inspiring blog contributions to our YUYUPainWarriors page and we are excited to feature Jade Harris and how she has coped with having suspected endometriosis while training to be a primary school teacher.

I haven’t been diagnosed with endometriosis yet as I have been waiting for my surgery, which has been postponed 5 times.

I started off with pains in 2018 and went to my GP telling him that I think I have endometriosis. I have been back and forth to gynaecologists and in and out of hospital with the pains. There’s times where the pain has been so severe I have missed university or work and I have been so poorly due to the pain.

I’ve been very reliant on pain relief and heat pads, but at times they don’t seem to touch the sides at all, even the stronger pain reliefs like codeine. I had an ordinary hot water bottle which wouldn’t help my pain and one day my friend told me about YUYU.

When I first looked at it I contemplated whether it was worth it, until 4 days ago when I was having the worst pains ever. I decided it would be best to order one and it’s the best decision I made.

I’m currently on day 8 of my flare up, and this bottle is saving me.

It’s day two of having this bottle and I can honestly say it’s one of the best purchases I have ever made. I used to have to change my ordinary hot water bottle from my back / belly constantly. To now be able to lay in bed and not worry about when the right time would be to change the bottle over is incredible.

This bottle has helped me massively and I definitely think that it is going to become my best friend, especially once I have my surgery and need to help that shoulder pain. Being able to tie the bottle around myself is so handy as I don’t have to worry about holding it in place.

I am training to be a primary school teacher and the thought of suffering with endometriosis whilst teaching children is extremely frightening, but having a YUYU bottle has given me a lot more confidence that I will be able to succeed in my career as this bottle will come in handy if I’m struggling during the day.

For anyone suffering with period pains, back pains, or anyone with endometriosis, I highly recommend this bottle. It will help you massively.
