Instructions for use
Warm Up
Instructions for YUYU Rubber Hot water bottles.
Before each use: check the bottle and stopper for wear and damage. If you see any damage, do not use.
- Boil water and wait 4-5 minutes to allow the water to cool.
- Keeping the bottle in the cover, hold the YUYU Bottle upright by the neck and pour slowly into the bottle.
Tip: When filling our long bottles, lay the length of the bottle along a flat surface to improve stability while you pour in water. Make sure that you keep the opening at the top of the bottle pointing upwards.
Warning: Ensure the water is not bubbling when pouring. Do not use boiling water. Always allow water to cool for 4-5 minutes. - Fill 1/2 - 2/3 capacity. If wearing the bottle, we recommend using less water, so that it’s lighter.
- Expel air from the bottle by lowering it carefully onto a flat surface until water appears at the opening.
This can also improve flexibility of the bottle! - Secure the stopper by screwing it finger-tight to prevent leakage. (finger tight should be adequate)
- If any water is left in the funnel at the top of the bottle, you can pour out these drips into a sink. Be careful when doing this, as it may still be hot.
- Wrap it, hug it, sling it around your body and take the warmth with you!
Tip: for extra relaxation infuse your Body Bottle fragrance pouch with drops of your favourite essential oils.
If you purchased a hot water bottle without a cover, ensure that you use a suitable cover to protect yourself from burns.
Over time as your YUYU Bottle gets its use, the rubber will naturally deteriorate. We therefore advise you to check the YUYU rubber bottle regularly for any possible tears and damage. If you notice a tear in the rubber bottle, please make sure to replace your YUYU Bottle.
Note: If you live in an area that uses hard water, the rubber may degrade quicker.
Parental supervision is advised if given to children. Not suitable forchildren under 3 years of age due to small parts choking hazard.
Stop use immediately if your skin begins to react or you have any other adverse reaction and seek medical attention. If any serious incident occurs in relation to your YUYU Bottle, this should be reported to us.
Warnings
- Do not use with infants, persons sensitive to heat or those with a latex allergy.
- Do not pour boiling water directly into the rubber bottle and fill to a maximum of two-thirds capacity or less (see above for full warm up instructions). This hot water bottle is designed to be partly filled. Do not overfill as this might cause the bottle to burst.
- When filling, hold the bottle by the neck in an upright position and fill slowly to avoid hot water splashing back.
- Do not allow direct or prolonged contact with skin (use the YUYU covers or an adequate alternative to prevent risk of burns).
- Do not overfill with water as it may stretch and expand the rubber bottle causing damage to the rubber bottle.
- Do not allow the bottle to come into contact with hot surfaces, oil or grease.
- Do not heat in a microwave oven.
- Do not fill using water from the domestic hot water system as this can considerably shorten the life of the hot water bottle.
- Under no circumstance can the bottle be used as a cushion or sat on.
- Always check the bottle and stopper for wear and damage prior to use.

When filling the YUYU Bottle for the first time you may notice a rubber odour. This may occur when heating up your YUYU Bottle for the first time. To reduce or eliminate this rubbery smell, please follow the instructions below.
- Rinse the YUYU rubber bottle out by filling 3⁄4 full with hot water (never boiling water, follow the filling instructions above).
- After the stopper is well secured, give the bottle a quick shake. Leave the water in for half an hour in a safe place and then pour water out.
- Repeat this process 3 to 4 times or until the smell subsides.
- You may wish to wash the cover as well, to ensure that the scent is not lingering due to having transferred to the fabric.
All our hot water bottles have a2 year manufacturer’s guarantee from the date you receive your hot water bottle.

Instructions for YUYU ICE Recovery
YUYU ICE Recovery
1. Fill your YUYU ICE Recovery with water. Pour into the opening at the top slowly and carefully, allowing the liquid to filter down through all of the chambers, until every chamber is full.
Tip - Less water will give you more flexibility vs. more water will stay colder for longer.
2. When you’re satisfied with the water quantity, secure the triple grip seal closure, and fold the top over to secure the velcro.
3. Place your YUYU ICE Recovery into the freezer for the desired amount of freezing.
Tip - Place the product in a plastic bag before putting it in the freezer. If you have the YUYU ICEC Revovery cover, place the bottle in the cover and freeze together.
4. Remove from the freezer and enjoy the benefits of ice therapy on the go!
Always ensure that you protect yourself suitably from prolonged direct ice to skin contact - you can easily do this by using the wearable cover.
YUYU ICE Recovery PRO
For professionals that require instant icing.
1. Fill directly with ice cubes. Secure grip seal and velcro fastening + GO!
If you purchased a cover with your bottle, follow these 3 easy steps to wear it hands free:
- Find the hoops: Examine the ends of both drawstrings and find the loop on the end of one of them. Feed the other drawstring through the loop and pull tight. Look for the loop at the bottom of the bottle.
- Take the YUYU and wrap it around the back of your waist. Hold the long drawstring with one hand, and grab the end of the bottle with your other hand. Locate the loop at the very end of the YUYU Bottle and then feed the long drawstring through.
- Pull the drawstring tight and loop it back through the top section where you started. It doesn’t really matter what bit you loop it through so just try it and then pull until it’s tight around your waist and just let go and voilà you are good to go.

We use a recycled Thermoplastic Polyurethane or TPU, which is referred to as the bridge between rubbers and plastics. The material appears rubber-like, which means it can be extremely flexible, durable and smooth to the touch. It is an advanced material that is much more environmentally friendly than alternatives such as PVC, since TPU is recyclable and biodegradable in 3 - 5 years.
